A Patch of Light

A patch of sunlight bursts through the oculus of a wonderfully decorated dome. The light and reflection is enough to illuminate the whole room just as intended. It's easy to forget in this modern era of electricity that many of these fantastic buildings were designed and built long before electricity was available so had to be practical spaces lit only by candles or simple lamps.
