This stunning piece of metalwork is an ingenious way of improving visually impaired peoples visiting experience.

Running the highly educated hands over this tactile map will give the visitor an experience of how the castle area is laid out, the shape of the buildings, a sense of scale and layout so a mental picture of the scene can be constructed. Information is also provided naming the major buildings and providing some additional information.

I love these and think they should be everywhere not only are they helpful but also they're artworks in themselves. A small piece of recognition, independence and inclusion for those who want to do things for themselves but are often little catered for in a visual society.
